Have been using Systane. Doc told me to use 5-6 times per day, but still find eyes are scratchy. Am trying Refresh right now. Anyone else have this problem & what do you find works best?

I was given Systane Balance too, as it's apparently one of the few kinds that has oil in it, and my eyes needed the oil.  5 - 6 times a day sounds like there could be something else. Did you have your eyes checked for an infection?  I was put on antibiotic drops (prescription only)  as there was an infection, but that cleared up, so only need the Systane Balance occasionally now.

hope that is how you spell it. I had a dreadful time after surgery and took this on my own...it sure helped.

My husband is a retired optometrist and for years we had a lot of patients that wanted to wear contact lenses but couldn't because of dry eyes.  He had them add wheat germ oil to their diet and it made a huge difference.  Nowadays, the trick is to take more Omega3 oil into your diet, 2000mg a day would do it.  Good luck.
