IKEA question......  Actions...
Posted: by sue_43 on Fri. 22 Jun., 2012 at 12:30:55 PM
We are looking for a bed that uses wood slats instead of a boxspring...so ikea is having midnight madness tonight..hubby wont go b/c it will be a ZOO.  im wondering if the specials will be available on-line?

also does anyone know what the delivery fee is. the store is in burlington & we are in east hamilton.  I know i will probably need to go in person (to test out mattress)

am also considering jysk, but last time i went their selection was really POOR.

Here's a tip. Go early, grab what you want and wait till it's 6pmWink. Of course you will have to go to the store. It makes it too easy if we could order online for these sales LOL.
Many items are only available during certain hours. I checked for a bed frame and it doesn't go on sale until 8 PM so I don't know how they work this out. If you have it in your basket or cart how do they know when you put it there?
Use your computer to get the delivery charges for your area.
Take hubby, plunk him in a chair and go crazy like the 'whoohoo' gal in their commercial!Grin
I take it this is your first time going midnight mad.

but I found out in the past from local stores  that the items that end up on sale are usally not worth the craziness . just my own humble opinion.

ikea is known for having "average" qaulity stuff....the bed we looked at was pressed wood with melemite(sp) surface, but it is good enough for son. he use to sleep on a futon.....;-(      I hated that & have always told him to get a decent mattress....well he will have one once we move.  Angel

This is not an answer to your question, but your post reminded me about this amusing article I read today.  Here's the link:  Squawkfox ~ How to survive a trip to IKEA
