so the plants are growing nicely and I've been watching for buds.  Now there are buds - how big to they get before they 'perform'?  The plants have not grown much in the past month as it's been so cool and damp here on Vanc Is, but with a bit of sun and warmth  for a few days (it's raining again tonight) the plants popped and buds appeared.  The buds are on stems about 2" long and the buds are about 1/2 to 3/4" long.  I don't want to miss the event but won't be checking in the rain tonight.

They will probaly grow to about 6 or 8 inches, and you will be able to tell when they are about to bloom.  It's usually around dusk....   Just hang in there, they will be coming soon.  A few days of hot weather and lots of sun and they'll bloom.

Good for you....and they're from Scotties seeds, aren't they?

they are Scotties seeds.  We're again cool so I'll watch and (impatiently) wait for them to grow some more when it gets warm.  I'm excited about watching after seeing your video clip.
