Curtis met Leroy in a bar after work for a drink, and sat on stools watching the London Olympics on the late night news. They were about to show the men’s 100 metre Gold medal race when Curtis decided to bet Leroy $50 that Yohan Blake would beat Usain Bolt.
Sure enough, Bolt won, so Curtis gave Leroy $50.
Leroy said, ”I can’t take this, you’re my friend.”
But Curtis insisted saying, ”No. A bet’s a bet.”
Then Leroy said, ”Listen, I have to tell you that I saw the race earlier today ~ this was a repeat of the race on TV, so I can’t take your money.”
Leroy replied, ”Well, so did I, but I didn’t think Blake would lose again!”
