I don't know if I should thank you for this link or not.lol By that I mean I have a bad cold so my eyes and nose have been running all day. Then I watch the Colorado story and I'm crying watching that ,now this , more kleenex.Can this Katrina event get anymore disgusting!! Some people are despicable beyond belief. Are you saying the blacks should have fought back and shot the whites? I don't think thats a good idea either.Mainly because they never would have gotten away with it and they would have been killed for doing it. A no win situation.I still think no guns is a better option. The link about low income housing was also something else. Some people are ignorant, hateful ,morons!

people should have a chance to defend themselves, but some people didn’t have that opportunity after Katrina. Yes, both Katrina and Colorado are disgusting, but I'm sorry that my link made you feel even worse. Get over your cold soon.

carry guns, we have police and an army to protect citizens. Only Americans are so paranoid that they think they are always in danger. Why would anyone need an assault weapon? The gun lobby seems to make the laws there. that's why we don't travel there anymore, too many stupid people with guns.

I think stats have shown over and over again that a gun in the house is more likely to be used against you than to protect you. All those stories of young children getting hold of handguns in the house and killing a playmate or children bringing a gun to school - it is simply insane!

police cannot be everywhere all of the time and with everybody.....so it is possible people will carry guns just like in the USA...time will tell..this is now quickly becoming a life that was not as simple as a few years ago.

Do you think you are getting a little paranoid.? lol I hope if you decide to arm yourself you take some lessons. These gang guys are not very good shots. Half the time they get the wrong person or shoot innocent bystanders. Or they put 40 bullets in a car with 2 passengers and they are both still alive.... Happened here the other day. Not quite the hot shots they think they are. Seriously what good is a gun going to do for you? Are you going to carry it in your purse where ever you go? If you go to the Eaton Center or a theater and someone starts shooting are you going to shoot back? You would probably hit a few innocent people too. I'll take my chances and be without one.

way some people's minds work.There are a lot of small arms in the hands of people that have nothing to do with gangs etc. The gun registry attempt should have taken care of that. That is a whole other story.
I was shot at sitting in my own office catching up on book work around 8pm a few years ago. The guy shot through the window with a rifle. He continued throughout the area shooting at windows that had lights on inside the offices. The bullet went over my head. We are not in Toronto.
No,I do not have a gun in my purse nor would I, however, some people do and there could be more in the future. It is naive to think otherwise. It is a changing world.
This is another situation which will show its ugly head in the future. LOL there will be more in those purses than cellphones. Just a coming fact of life.

little about the whole thing including court dates...rather strange...not even sure of his age....he may have been under 18 at the time...if so the penalty would have been minor the way things are handled here. We did find out via a police officer where he lived. His house backed onto a main road and he had shot at some moving cars.
